About Me

Hi there, my name is Kylie...  But those who know me call me Bella.  You see, it's my surname and the nickname seems to have stuck since high school.  There were so many of us named Kylie at school that we were all branded with our surnames so that we could be distinguished in class...  Would you believe that we were also all Kylie B's?  Uncanny!  And yes, even our teachers called us by our surnames (like I said, it just kinda stuck) lol  So, long story short, that's where the blog name came from :)

I'm a Mummy to two very cute tornados and a self-confessed scrap-a-holic!  I started scrapping over 10 years ago when I attended a bridal shower where the host was a Creative Memories consultant.  We were all to do a layout with photos of the bride-to-be that we had brought from home.  These were all put very creatively into an album as a keepsake for the host.  Well, to say from that moment on that I was hooked would be an understatement... I was obsessed!

I have passionately scrapped my way through the last 10 years, creating all kinds of layouts, mini albums, cards, invitations...  If it has anything to do with memory keeping, then I've probably given it a go (and most likely loved every second).   I have sold many of my creations, mostly being my favourite paper bag albums . The best feeling is hearing how happy my customers are; it warms my heart to know that something I have made has taken place in someone else's home to be filled with beautiful memories of their loved ones.

My latest obsession is Project Life.  This simple and modern way of documenting your life gets me so excited that I even feel my heart rate increase just saying the words LOL ;)  You can read more about why I have now chosen to scrap this way here.

So there you have it, that's pretty much my scrappy life in a really tiny nutshell.  I'm looking forward to 2013 being an exciting and adventurous year creatively for Simply Bella.  I have tons of yummy crafty things in store and hope that you come along for the ride and pop in often to see what I'm up to.
